This girl was SO excited to be 5 years old. Hannah has been talking and planning her party for 8 months. We had a family party on Wednesday, January 11 because she had Let's Play Music after school. We planned her friend party for Friday after school.
We mad a family favorite chocolate sheet cake. Half with nuts and the other half without nuts. Homemade chocolate cake is a must in the Coon family. Now that the brother and sister are getting older they are gone. Katie is gone for a while at BYU Idaho. James is in highschool and at basketball practice. We miss them.Grandma and Grandpa give each grandchild "BIG BUCKS" for their birthdays. Everyone is thrilled to get their money. This is the traditional picture of the kids with their money.
Grandma Dayley and Hannah!
She wanted a pinata at the party. She loaded it with candy, it was ready! We took it outside to beat it and it would break. First we hit it with a plastic bat and we blindfolded the children. Then we took the blindfold off and let them see. Still it would not break. Then we got a hockey stick. Still hanging on. Then the girls jumped all over it and tried to smash it. Finally I used my muscles and ripped it apart with my hands. One tuff pinata!
She wanted a bunny cake. So I did my best to make the cake and it turned out pretty cute. Hannah picked out the button for the nose. CUTE!
We had homemade pizza. cutie orange picnic outside. I peeled about 20 oranges.
I LOVE my little girl! She brings such joy and excitement to our family. We all agree our family is way more fun with Hannah a part of it! One of Hannahs talents is praying! This girl can pray with big words and it is so sincere and meaningful. She also talks very dramatic and with her hands. We all love Hannah.
