The event worth waiting for...
The prom fashion show was today. Katie and Dallin walked down the run way together. They were so cute together. Katie has a talent of being fun, happy and confident. I was proud of her. She looked absolutely stunning! She and Emily were the only modest girls and they stole the show! Oh, I made the "bolero". I am taking orders. Buy the material, I will make a jacket for your formal dress to match. We matched Dallin's tux perfectly, and it matched Katie and made her dress gorgeous!

Girls day!
Annie and I had a fun girls day! We first went to the high school to see Katie in the Prom fashion show. Then she wanted to go to Gecko Grille for lunch. She ordered her favorite, bean and cheese burro. Then we went to "creative hands" to paint some pottery. Annie picked out a "peace" jewerly box. She is just sweet and really fun to be with. We needed to spend some one on one time. It was a great day.Thursday, March 25, 2010

quote of the day
We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are.
As you create a home, don’t get distracted with a lot of things that have no meaning for you or your family. Don’t dwell on your failures, but think about your successes. Have joy in your home. Have joy in your children. Have joy in your husband. Be grateful for the journey."

Hair cut makeover
I have been growing my hair out so I could go to the "dressing your truth salon" and have the experts cut my hair in a type 1 cut. Here are the before pictures. I would joke and say I had a girl mullet. It was so heavy and I could not wait to get it cut. I don't have any after pictures on my camera of my new cut. The salon took pictures and said they would post them. I will have my kids take pictures today before church and I will post my new hair do tonight.Tuesday spring break
Grant took Katie and I to the Lion House restaurant for lunch. The other kids stayed at Pauls house and played with cousins. After lunch we went to the temple grounds and took some fun pictures, walked around the temple, and checked out the visitor centers. The best tour we went on was the conference center. That is an amazing place. It was beautiful and a holy place.Wednesday spring break
Grant, Katie, James, Paul and Ryan Coon went skiing and snowboarding at Brighton. They had so much fun chasing each other down the mountain. I was wishing I could go. I went shopping with Melissa Coon and Kelli Jensen, then took all the little kids swimming at the "Little America" hotel in Salt Lake City.Thursday spring Break!

Brenda surprise Birthday party!
Brenda, Ron, Laurie, Kelli, Grant, Matt, Rob and Paul. All 8 kids flew to Utah to surprise Brenda for her 50th birthday party. What a great weekend of laughing and reminicising. Whenever you get Laurie, Ron and Paul in the same room you laugh your head off. On Friday they went skiing and had a fabulous time. Saturday evening Brenda's daughters and friends through a big surprise party- about 50 people came. All her siblings went around the room and told stories about her and then shared special memories they had for her, their eldest sister. Brenda is truly a gift to the family. Love ya, Brenda.
